Just Conversation: Advocacy for Change

  • Metropolitan New York Baptist Association 236 West 72nd Street New York, NY, 10023 United States (map)

According to the global slavery index, as many as 45.8 million people are victims of human trafficking world wide. Cases have been reported in every country, every state, and every neighborhood. This happens because there are vulnerable people everywhere. How can we raise our voices for those most vulnerable? How can we speak into public policy that impacts hurting people?

With that said, I want to invite you to be part of a special event on November 17th, 2016 called "Advocacy for Change." As part of our "Just Conversation" series, we will have an interactive panel discussion featuring several experts who know how to lift their voice on behalf of those whose voice is not heard. Joining us will be Shandra Woworuntu, the founder of Mentari and an appointed member of the US Advisory Council on Human Trafficking; Jonathan Soto, Church liaison for the office of the Mayor of New York City; Richard Lee, North Eastern church mobilization director for International Justice Mission; Raleigh Sadler, the founder and Executive Director of Let My People Go.

We look forward to seeing you on November 17th from noon-1:30 for this FREE event. Sign up below so that we will know how much lunch to have prepared.

We look forward to having you be part of this crucial conversation.
